New Beginnings

I don't know what made me start another online journal. Then again, I'm not really certain what made me take down my last one. My life is so different, but in a great many ways it is the same. The brief update:
  • Nathan and I got married on June 11th.
  • Nathan and I bought a house in Northeast Las Vegas.
  • Steve is gone, married, and soon to be a father.
  • Jasn moved back to town.
  • My mother works for Microsoft now and lives in Seattle.
  • My dad bought an old house in Anaheim and he can see fireworks every night from his backyard.
  • My brother, Phil, got his real estate license and is going back to college.
  • My brother, Rich, is married and he moved to Greensboro, NC a few weeks ago.
  • My sister, Lisa, is now a full professor with tenure at Greensboro College.
  • After this semester, I have one semester left of law school.
  • We share our very small place with one dog, Hobbes, and three cats, Zoe, Callie, and Shadow.
  • MattMatt (as everyone calls him now) graduated from Culinary and is working at Wynn.

This is the brief update. I am sure that I will update in more detail on most of these things as time passes. I don't expect to post daily. There are simply not enough hours in the day most days.

Nathan and I have been married for just over four months now. The wedding will have to be a topic for another post as there is so much to say. Being a Pulley (yes, I did change my name), will be a constant adjustment. I have high hopes though for the future. For the most part, being married is not much different for Nathan and I. We did, after all, live together for just over three years before the wedding. Now we live in a house we own together, and I am forced by law to share all new purchases with him. It's a good thing I bought the television well before the wedding, community property laws cannot touch my big screen.

Life though has changed. Married or not, our lives have evolved into something much different. My life has become something of a mystery to me, not what makes it, but how I became the person I am now. It was about 5 months ago, when I first had the feeling. I woke up from a nap at my mother's condo in San Diego and realized that prior to that moment I had no idea I had changed in any way from the person I was, and I still had no idea when or why the changes had occurred.
